If this move successfully deals damage to the target, the target has a 40% chance of being sent into a drowsy state. Provided that the target Pokémon remains active, is not afflicted with a non-volatile status condition (other than sleep), or protected from sleep via such moves as Safeguard or Uproar, it will fall asleep at the end of the next turn. If the target falls asleep via a means other than the drowsy effect, the effect will be suspended until such a time as the target wakes up, and will then continue as normal.

In a triple battle, this move may target anyone facing or adjacent to the user.
